The latest online competition was the Fairy Face-Off pitting fairy against fairy in some of the most interesting single battles I've ever had Below you will find the link that contains all restrictions and rules for the competition. Fairy Face-OffIn all honesty this was my first online competition and boy did I have a good time. There was the excitement of actually competing for the first time and the battles were superb. Frustrations did set in every now and then when a thunder wave hit and a Togekiss stepped up with Serene Grace coupled with Air Slash and had me flinching or completely paralysed till my pokemon was knocked out but hey, I did the same to my opponents Through the battles, 3 pokemon stood out above the rest in my 6 man team and those were: - Whimsicott - My most used front man carrying a Focus Sash and having the moves Taunt, Stun Spore, U-Turn and Moonblast. I was surprised at the durability and the effectiveness of this pokemon. I found myself derailing all set-ups and even taking out a few Gardevoirs and Togekiss. Was amazing!
- Azumarill - A beast if ever I saw one, running Play Rough, Aqua Jet, Waterfall and Belly Drum with a Sitrus Berry. When used right, the only pokemon that was able to stand a hit was Mega Mawile.
- Mawile - I believe the champion of the Fairy Face-Off, holding it's coveted Mega stone and having Play Rough, Iron Head, Taunt and Fire Fang at its disposal. A team with Mawile rarely lost unless another Mawile was on the opposing team
Unfortunately the competition is over (ended on the 29 September 2014) but it has sold me on online competitions and I am hoping to not miss another one from this point on
